Somewhere between here and there
I see a face
A blank stare
I start to wonder who all is there
But then I realize
Do I dare?
Is this all a scare
What is out there?
Beyond this place
Beyond that face
And who am I to take the plunge
To run so far
To leap and lunge
I can’t help but think that there’s a trap
Any second
Snap!
And down it all will come crashing
Smashing
Dashing
My arms thrashing
But still no air
Because now there is no one there
Oh how this seems unfair
For those who dare
